We all know that drinking eight glasses per day is necessary to keep your body hydrated in an optimal way. And if it is flavored water which is available to you, then it can be guaranteed you will be meeting your quota every single day.
But you will need to first test the water with legionella test kits and other similar things to ensure that they are not contaminated with any bacteria, germs, or other harmful things. Once done, you can follow any of the following ways to add flavor to the drinking water.
The first way most people add flavor to water I by mixing some fruit juice with it. Any type of fruit can be used for this, whether it be mangoes, strawberry, pineapples, or anything else. But do keep in mind to avoid mixing in sugar with the drink since consuming too much sugar, and that too with eight glasses of water will ultimately result in health problems. And the best part of adding fruit juices? They not only make the water flavorful but also provide the necessary antioxidants and vitamins.
Now, if you don’t like mixing fruit juice with water, then the next best thing you can do is to cut up a few pieces of the fruit and put it in the water. Leave it like that for a few hours or overnight. Ideally, you must refrigerate it. This will unlock the flavors of the fruit, allowing it to mix with the water. The most common fruit cuts that are used to enhance the taste of water include oranges, watermelon, lemon, raspberries etc. You can also add in cucumbers or other similar vegetables you think will make the water more flavorful.
Some people are heavily obsessed by the idea of flavored ice. This is essentially ice that is created by refrigerating flavored water or fruit juice. The resultant ice will be a solid piece of flavor you can easily use to make your water taste better. After all, the only thing you have to do is to take some flavored ice cubes from the refrigerator and add it to the water. This obviously is far easier than having to cut fruits every single time you need to create flavored water.
If you are not too fond of fruit but are more interested in savory drinks, then it is a good idea for you to experiment with broths. This can be made from any item, vegetables, chicken, beef, etc. Just make sure that the broth you buy from the supermarket is low in sodium. Otherwise, you might end up consuming too much salt that it will start affecting your body.
Finally, try adding some mint leaves to water and keep it in the fridge for a few days. The flavor of the mint will seep into the water, and every time you drink it, you are guaranteed to feel refreshed and lively because of the unique flavor of the mint.
